Who Made Aniimo? Pawprint Studio, Kingsglory & FunPlus
The short answer
Developer: Pawprint Studio (Steam lists it as both developer and publisher). Publisher history: Kingsglory published Aniimo through the reveal and first tests; a notice on pawprintstudio.com states that from April 15, 2026 Aniimo is operated by Pawprint Studio and Kingsglory ceased operating the service on that date. Backer: FunPlus. A GamesBeat interview with FunPlus’s Chris Petrovic (September 2026) says the company “greenlit an ambitious open world creature collectible game called Aniimo with development partner Pawprint Studio” back in 2022, and a FunPlus Facebook post from January 2026 announced the developer preview jointly with Kingsglory and Pawprint Studio.
Where the company is
- The copyright line on aniimo.com and wiki.aniimo.com reads “©2025 Pawprint Interactive Entertainment Pte. Ltd.” — a Singapore private limited company. A Steam forum thread from May 2, 2026 quotes a Singapore registration, UEN 202536484D, registered August 19, 2025.
- Gematsu’s company directory lists Pawprint Studio as headquartered in Hangzhou, China.
- Baidu Baike describes the studio as focused on the “massively multiplayer online open-world creature-catching RPG Aniimo”.
Read together: a Singapore-registered publishing entity for the global service and a development team associated with Hangzhou. Search queries linking Aniimo to Tencent are common, but no official source we found names Tencent as owner, publisher or investor; FunPlus is the backer on record.
